Jean Rochefort was natural around Dinan, the town of Côtes-d'Armor, France. He was 19 years old once he entered a ''Centre d'Art Dramatique de la rue Blanche. Late he joined a Conservatoire National. When his national service, in 1953, he worked by using a Compagnie Grenier Hussenot as a theatre actor for 7 years. There he was found for his ease within swimming two drama and comedy. He so became the television & cinema actor. He hwhen as well worked as director.

Within his 30s, in a period of the shooting of Cartouche, he discovered his passion for horses & equitation. He has been the horse breeder since then & okay, owns Le Haras first state Villequoy. His passion led him to turn into the horse advisor for French television within 2004.

Inside 1960 he married Alexandrthe Moscwthe, by owning whom he fathered deuce tikes: a girl, Marie (1962), & a son, Julien (1965).

He has won both César Awards: In 1976, Best Supporting Actor for Que la fête commence; and inside 1978, Best Actor for Le Crabe-Tambour.
